Tour day 49. Last day

Well Friday 6/28 is my last day for my great United States cross country adventure. 17 miles to go. Dip my wheel in the Atlantic ocean. From one side of this phenomenal country to the other. 49 days total, 43 riding days, century's (100 miles) rode, 15 states crossed, mountains ascended, mountains descended, deserts crossed, snow, rain, flat land, hills, wind, crosswind, headwind, some tail winds, sun, clouds, blowing sand, beauty, water, flooding, 5 broken spokes, 7 flat tires, sticky brakes, scenery to behold, friendships made, broke my bike, bruised ribs, bruised body, dont care, new bikes, bucket list achieved, pushed myself to the limit and more and more. What a wonderful 7 weeks. Would not trade it for anything. Would I do it again. Yes. Was an adventurous trip to the beach but we all made it. This is the group getting ready to finish. Tour day 48

Last day to ride before our trek to the beach. 90 miles and some climbing. Foggy when we left and in the 60s.  Hurting from spill but able to ride. Bitter sweet knowing this is now coming to an end. 7 weeks of riding and the friendships made. Here is the itinerary and the weather. We had 2 state crossings,  New Hampshire, 13th and Massachusetts the 14th. Was an interesting ride. Turkey in the road and one of the guys had a bear run by him. No picture of that.
