Tour day 19
I like it cold or cool when I ride. I don't wear a lot of cloths even in the cold. Today we left Dalhart Texas at 8 am and it was 50 degrees and no humidity. I wore a light jacket. Felt like it was not going to get much warmer which it didn't. The wind was howling at about 20 miles per hour with gusts. We were paid back for the tailwind yesterday. 72 miles of headwind and crosswinds. Here is the itinerary and weather report.
There was no rain but an unrelenting wind. Been lots of ugly weather out here. Tornados and such. We formed a pace line where you ride at the front for however long you feel good. Pulling for the group. Meaning all those behind you enjoy your draft and dont have to work as hard. I was in front when I heard a noise from my back wheel. I broke a spoke. Can't ride without one missing. Lucky for me Peyton from the tour group was there to save the day. Asked if I wanted to continue (not) but said yes. Start something you complete it. He called Tom from the tour group in the box truck to come back to where we were. They saved the day for me. Peyton took another wheel from Paula's and changed out the components and put her wheel on my bike. We got it on to catch the group. Tough in the wind to catch up. We did cross into Oklahoma though. Did not take many pictures cause the conditions.

It's all about farming, cattle and hogs. Didn't see any hogs n farms but in trucks as you see. One was going one way and the other the opposite direction. Loaded with animals. Plenty. Think silos are filled with food for animals. There are plenty of silos to keep them well fed. Well again tomorrow is another day. Leaving Guymon Oklahoma to Liberal Kansas. Our 5th state line crossing. Here is a map of our route that's up in the lobby's of everywhere we stay. By the way the big cowboy looks just like Rick on of the Crossroads group. Had to get that picture. Super biker and mechanic.
Here is my day from space. Check it out. Relive
Talking about a straight line. Hope you enjoyed and thanks for following.
Keep on keeping on!!!
