Tour day 23

Kind of knew what to expect from the weather report from yesterday. Reasonably warm and a headwind. Was not disappointed. Started out around 65 degrees and wind in our face sustained 10 miles an hour and more. Slim chance of rain which we had none. Here's the weather report and itinerary.

Was an uneventful day thank goodness. Ovi and I did a pace line. We each shared the load. I did a mile pull then he did. Made heading into the wind so much easier when the other is blocking the wind. Towns were rather barren of people because it being Sunday and closed as you can see.

Oil is big here with lots of these businesses in Kansas.

This guy had a bad day and met his maker. Witnessed plenty on the road.

Again lots of history.

Some pics of our ride. Lots of farmland and a truck moving out with a load alfalfa for the animals. A stray windmill.

Trains are a plenty. These cars were at a loading station. Across the road was a plant that provided oil for parts unknown.

Well we made it unscathed. Wind was the only issue. Only needed one rest stop or sag. Was a great day of riding. Next stop Junction City Kansas. 87 miles. Nice to have a following wind or no wind at all. Lots of stuff can happen out here. Lots of flooding from the severe storms which we saw. Glad we dont have those issues. Here is relive again so check it out.

Thanks for following!
