Tour day 36

Another day done. Rained for the most part for 73 miles of my ride to Richmond Indiana. Started to intensify the last 4 miles. That's when I broke another spoke. Brake was on for those 4 miles because it was out of true. No pictures today but weather and itinerary I do have. So here we go.






Since it was rainy I did not take my phone out of its plastic cover. Not a fan of wet roads or wet me. Took my time. When water gets on the road it can be very slick. Brakes dont work as well, visibility poor and the lines painted on the road are like black ice. Nothing good comes out of riding in the rain. Had no idea but Richmond has the all American rose garden of 2000 roses. Just so you know if you are asked. So tomorrow is 106 miles and we end up in Marysville Ohio. Our 4th and final century and 9th state line crossing. Supposed to rain again in the morning. Can't make it easy. So much for my day. Thanks for following and here my day from space. Relive.

Hi everyone,  I have met my fellow riders. We had our information session and training. This evening we had a very nice dinner and socialize. Off to bed early since I will be up at 5am, breakfast at 545am and off to Manhattan beach at 630am. Tour day 8

Leaving Cottonwood Arizona to Flagstaff Arizona. Another fun day of climbing and the cooler temperatures. 46.8 miles and a climb of 5100 feet. Think today will be better than yesterday. That's Charlie getting it.     We are going the red rocks of Sedona. Absolutely breathtaking. Stopped so many times to take pics.  This pics and following don't do them justice. If you ever get the chance this is would be place to visit. Actually any of these places. Stopped for a coffee in Sedona and took in the views. Here are some more.  Had a great ride. Again feeling better everyday. So enjoyed the sights. Town is great. Flagstaff that is. This is an outdoor mecca. Tour day 48

Last day to ride before our trek to the beach. 90 miles and some climbing. Foggy when we left and in the 60s.  Hurting from spill but able to ride. Bitter sweet knowing this is now coming to an end. 7 weeks of riding and the friendships made. Here is the itinerary and the weather. We had 2 state crossings,  New Hampshire, 13th and Massachusetts the 14th. Was an interesting ride. Turkey in the road and one of the guys had a bear run by him. No picture of that.
