Tour day 43

What a great day again. In the 50s, sunny and a good crosswind from the North. We were heading East to Victor New York and rounding up 90 miles. Ended up being hills, hills, hills and more hills. Awesome. Love big hills. Well here is the information for the day.





Very pretty landscape in New York. A lot different than the desert. Amazing all the land we have traveled. Today we passed the 3000 mile mark. Crazy thinking about it. Here are some of the pictures I took.

Had 3 miles of this time deal with. Bumpy as heck.

Today was a phenomenal day of riding. Fortunately no rain for 2 days. Cool and sunny and not a headwind. Think most everyone is a bit tired from the constant climbing. More of that than descending. Think tomorrow the same and more. Syracuse New York is on the agenda. 86 miles of climbing. Clothes are washed and showered and out to dinner in few. 5 more days of real riding and then the Atlantic ocean for our final ride and wheel dip. Time has flown by. Hi everyone,  I have met my fellow riders. We had our information session and training. This evening we had a very nice dinner and socialize. Off to bed early since I will be up at 5am, breakfast at 545am and off to Manhattan beach at 630am. Our ceremonial wheel dip will official start my adventure across the United States. 15 states and 3400 plus miles.   Let the festivities begin!

Tour day 8

Leaving Cottonwood Arizona to Flagstaff Arizona. Another fun day of climbing and the cooler temperatures. 46.8 miles and a climb of 5100 feet. Think today will be better than yesterday. That's Charlie getting it.     We are going the red rocks of Sedona. Absolutely breathtaking. Stopped so many times to take pics.  This pics and following don't do them justice. If you ever get the chance this is would be place to visit. Actually any of these places. Stopped for a coffee in Sedona and took in the views. Here are some more.  Had a great ride. Again feeling better everyday. So enjoyed the sights. Town is great. Flagstaff that is. This is an outdoor mecca. These people enjoy the outdoors and I can see why.  Had a tall cold one from a local brewery. Ended in front of the fireplace to finish the day off. Well we have tomorrow off. Wash our

Tour day 48

Last day to ride before our trek to the beach. 90 miles and some climbing. Foggy when we left and in the 60s.  Hurting from spill but able to ride. Bitter sweet knowing this is now coming to an end. 7 weeks of riding and the friendships made. Here is the itinerary and the weather. We had 2 state crossings,  New Hampshire, 13th and Massachusetts the 14th. Was an interesting ride. Turkey in the road and one of the guys had a bear run by him. No picture of that.
