Tour day 47

Today was going to be a mountain day of climbing. Well what goes up must come down. And did. 74 miles of ascending and descending. The temp was in the mid 60s and no wind to speak of and best of all sunny. sunny.  Our objective is Brattleboro Vermont. This is our 13th state line and the Green Mountains of Vermont. Green they are. I am still hurting from my mishap and hope that I'm ok for the climbing. Here is the itinerary and weather report for the day.

Ah such beauty. Was a great day of riding even though I was in pain the whole time. Tomorrow unfortunately is our last day of riding. Not counting riding to the beach. I have met the nicest people on this trip. We are a brotherhood who look out for each other through thick or thin. This adventure of a life time is something I will cherish forever. 

 

Burlington Maryland will be our final and last stop of our fantastic trip. 90 miles of riding. So I will be blogging tomorrow and thanks for following. Been a hell of an experience. Saved this guy from being run over.

Hi everyone,  I have met my fellow riders. We had our information session and training. This evening we had a very nice dinner and socialize. Off to bed early since I will be up at 5am, breakfast at 545am and off to Manhattan beach at 630am. Our ceremonial wheel dip will official start my adventure across the United States. 15 states and 3400 plus miles.   Let the festivities begin!

Tour day 8

Leaving Cottonwood Arizona to Flagstaff Arizona. Another fun day of climbing and the cooler temperatures. 46.8 miles and a climb of 5100 feet. Think today will be better than yesterday. That's Charlie getting it.     We are going the red rocks of Sedona. Absolutely breathtaking. Stopped so many times to take pics.  This pics and following don't do them justice. If you ever get the chance this is would be place to visit. Actually any of these places. Stopped for a coffee in Sedona and took in the views. Here are some more.  Had a great ride. Again feeling better everyday. So enjoyed the sights. Town is great. Flagstaff that is. This is an outdoor mecca. Tour day 48

Last day to ride before our trek to the beach. 90 miles and some climbing. Foggy when we left and in the 60s.  Hurting from spill but able to ride. Bitter sweet knowing this is now coming to an end. 7 weeks of riding and the friendships made. Here is the itinerary and the weather. We had 2 state crossings,  New Hampshire, 13th and Massachusetts the 14th. Was an interesting ride. Turkey in the road and one of the guys had a bear run by him. No picture of that.
